Airbrushing is a modern painting technique using an airpowered spray-pencil. This is the real thing, unlike what computer artists may say. But computers definitely are more widespread nowadays, so most people will use a mouse simulating an airbrush.
Using masks to protect certain areas of the painting normally gives rather hard edges, whereas 'freehand' airbrushing lacks any edges and gives ultimate freedom, but is much more difficult to control. I make use of both methods, since it's not the method, but the result what counts. So, if I feel the need, I also do not hesitate to make use of a computer as well.
Atlantis and Egypt are my special source of inspiration. Many motives from these cultures can be found in my work. In addition to this I tend to make use of bright colours. Airbrush for that matter is ideal.
Computers are used for creative text-design as well. And for this my opinion is: If you can't beat them, join them. I use the computer for calligraphic effects whenever I think this to be necessary. But especially now people ask for hand-written certificates, that are unique, made with personal attention and look nice.
For this I am educated. In the past years I made hundreds of certificates, many of which went to different countries like the USA, France, Great-Britain, Ukraine, Japan, Rumania and of course the Netherlands.
